Elijah P. Curtis House

Built in 1870, 5 years after Maj. Elijah P. Curtis returned to Metropolis from the Civil War. Most of the wood used in hte house came from the Curtis Family Farm in Massac County.  The house is shown by appointment year-round to groups of any size who want to see this historical treasure which includes keyhole-style windows and walls made of solid brick, including interior walls.
