Kincaid Mounds

Nestled at the county lines of Massac and Pope, this prehistoric treasure is located within the Kincaid Site, which was designated in 1964 as a National Historic Landmark and in 1966 on the National Register of Historic Places.  Perserved are the remains of earthen mounds that were once a part of a city created by Native Americans.  The Mounds are located on the Ohio River Scenic Byway, 10 Miles east of Brookport, IL.
